Koji made a presentation at the National Throws Coaches Association in America
At the National Throws Coaches Association Conference held in Columbus, Ohio, from November 10th to 12th, Murofushi will give an academic lecture and make a presentation about training.
Koji marks 81.00 meters and wins first place at the Super Track and Field 2006 Yokohama
Nissan Stadium in Yokohama city on September 24th.
Ten athletes competed in the hammer throwing event, among them Koji Murofushi, Ivan Tikhon of the Republic of Belarus the 2nd straight winner of the World Championship, Vadim Devyatovskiy also from Belarus the silver medalist of the World Championships in 2005 and others.
Koji outdistanced the others and in his 6th round he threw the 81.00-meter-fling and won. Ivan Tikhon took second place with 78.30 meters.
Koji won the first prize with his best of the season in the IAAF World Cup in Athletics, Athens
The IAAF World Cup in Athletics was held in Athens on September 16th. Koji won the victory with his best record this season 82.01 meters.
Koji topped with his first throw 79.70 meters, and in his third round he improved his record with 82.01 meters. Ivan Tikhon of the Republic of Belarus took second place.
Koji won the IAAF World Athletics Final with the record of 81.42 meters
In the IAAF World Athletics Final held in Stuttgart on September 10th, Koji marked 81.42 meters and took first prize. He captured the world No. 1 in the match only the higher-ranking athletes can participate in.
At the very first fling, Koji threw 81.42 meters and took the lead. The competition was quite intense as the 2nd consecutive winner in the World Championships, Ivan Tikhon, made an 81.12-meter-throw at the last fling. But Koji’s first throw made the winning record.
While Koji won the Grand Prix Final in 2002, which is the predecessor of this competition, this has become the first victory for him of the IAAF the World Athletics Final.

Koji marked 80.14 meters in his 5th round and scored a victory over the 78.26-meter-throw of Olli-Pekka Karjalainen (Finland) July 21 at the KALEVAN KISAT, Finnish Championships in Athletics held in Jyvaskyla, Finland.

Koji will participate in the IAAF World Athletics Final held in Stuttgart on September 10th. In this competition, the top seven rankers in the world Athletic Tour and one wild card match strength. This is a competition between “the Ones” who show a high level of performance throughout the year.
Koji is ranked 3rd since his number of matches is fewer than other athletes. He got his ticket to the competitions by winning all competitions, one at home and four abroad. Give an eye to the match that will determine the world No.1 after the Olympics in Athens.
